Mike Evans, Wide Receiver of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers has partnered with Galveston Regional Chamber of Commerce to host his 2nd Annual Youth Summer Football Camp in his hometown of Galveston, Texas. The camp, designed for children ages 8-14, will take place Saturday, June 24th , 2017 at Ball High School from 9:00 a.m. – 1:00p.m, and is limited to 200 campers.
“I am extremely honored to host my Youth Summer Football Camp in my hometown of Galveston! I would not be able to impact the community on this level of magnitude without the support of Gina Spagnola and the Galveston Regional Chamber of Commerce,” says Evans.
Our goal for the camp is to make a positive impact within the community of Galveston. The Mike Evans Youth Summer Football Camp is designed to encourage and empower young kids while teaching them excellent football skills, techniques, and the importance of team work & education. We aim to create friendships and foster an environment where kids can be kids again.
“I believe that our youth is an extremely important part of our society. This is my opportunity to impact, interact, & empower our youth in the community,” Evans expresses.
This year’s camp will feature the following NFL Football Players: Derel Walker (Tampa Bay Buccaneers/Texas A&M), Davonta Burns (Texas A&M), & Travis Labhart (TexasA&M), Additional NFL players TBA.
The camp will also feature special remarks from James Yarbrough, Mayor of Galveston.
